Karen Gaines, St. Louis Community College

Karen is a Professor of mathematics at the Meramec campus.  She was a co-director on the original Project ACCCESS and is pleased to continue as the coordinator of the new AMATYC Project ACCCESS.  She has been involved with the NASA AMATYC projects as well as the Math Works project because of her passion for creating real life application activities for the classroom.

Wendy O'Hanlon
Wendy is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in her fifth year of teaching at Illinois Central College in East Peoria, Illinois  She was a fellow in the second year of Project ACCCESS in 2005. She enjoys all the learning and professional development opportunities available thorugh AMATYC, and is a member of IMACC, MAA, and NCTM.  In her free time, she reads, hikes, and enjoys the outdoors and absolutely loves to play the piano.

Jason Edington
Jason Edington is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Mendocino College in Ukiah, CA.  He was chosen as a Project ACCCESS member in 2006 and is excited to be a Network Committee Member.  Jason enjoys spending time with his family, working on puzzles, exploring ways to improve the education of mathematics in his school and beyond, and playing World of Warcraft!

Laura Watkins

Laura is a Mathematics Instructor in her seventh year of teaching at Glendale Community College in Glendale, Arizona.  This year she is on sabbatical completing coursework in Instructional Technology at Utah State University in Logan, Utah (her alma mater—where she earned a B.S., a M.S. and a Ph.D. in Mathematics).  Laura was a member of the first cohort of Project ACCCESS in 2004.  Laura enjoys attending conferences and meeting new people.  She was particularly thrilled to attend ICME 11 in Monterrey, Mexico in July 2008.  She is a member of ArizMATYC, AMATYC, MAA and NCTM.  In her free time, Laura enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading and gardening.

Tom Sundquist

Tom is an instructor in the department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Normandale Community College in  Bloomington Minnesota. He
was selected as a 2005-06 Project ACCCESS Fellow and now serves as the listserv moderator for AMATYC Project ACCCESS. After completing his
Ph.D. in 1992, Tom taught for 4 years at Dartmouth College and then made his way to industry where he pretended to be a software engineer. In 2003 he returned to teaching and now is thrilled to be back in the classroom.

Kendall Jacobs
Kendall has taught Mathematics at Casper College since 1999.  He also teaches online and compressed video courses for Montana State and the University of Wyoming.  He participated in the Math Works project and
has been a co-instructor for the AMATYC Teacher Preparation Summer Institute in Enumclaw.   When he’s not teaching mathematics, Kendall enjoys studying astronomy, geology and plant taxonomy as well as spending time with his family.  He is looking forward to serving as a
project assistant for Project ACCCESS.

Mark Monroe
Marshalltown Community College, Iowa
Mark has been teaching math since 2005, after many years in the manufacturing industry.  He was a member of Project ACCCESS cohort 4 in 2007-2008.  Mark is especially motivated by helping fearful math students to realize that they actually can do math, and might even enjoy it.

Mercer County Community College

I have taught Mathematics at Mercer County Community College in NJ for two and half years before accepting a fulltime position at Bucks County Community College in PA, where I have been adjunct for over thirteen years.  I was a part of Cohort 4, 2007.  I am presently involved in a project to apply Universal Design concepts to courses in our Math Department.  Project ACCCESS has been an amazing experience for me and I would like to continue to be involved.

Kirk Bradley

Kirk is in his 6th year of teaching Mathematics at the two year college level. He is currently an instructor of mathematics and department chair of math and science at Louisiana Delta Community College in Monroe, LA.   He was a fellow in the second year of Project ACCCESS in 2005 and served on the selection committee for the 2008 Cohort for Project ACCCESS.  He is active in the LaMsMATYC region.
